I picked out these 29 songs, loaded them onto my iPod shuffle, got on my bike and hit PLAY and did not stop riding until the music stopped. Over the hour and forty minutes I rode songs came on in the BEST possible order. It was almost like my iPod knew what I needed to hear at certain points. Songs from different bands blended together perfectly, calm and easy going songs linked together and then changed to up beat racing songs that kept my legs pumping. For some reason I couldn’t get it to show the order it played in on my ride but let me tell you it was amazing! It was over an hour of pushing hard up the hills in my neighborhood and then slaloming down the other side on a beautiful starlit night. Definitely something I needed to do. I just kept telling myself I would not stop riding until the entire playlist was finished and I DID! I feel much better both physically and mentally. Riding or walking at night really helps me think. The whole ride was positive and uplifting from my thoughts and the music pumping through my ears.
I’m planning on keeping my chin up as long as I can and just holding on to the handlebars for dear life.
